VinUni was honored at the ESG Business Awards 2025

October 2, 2025
On September 25 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Green Transition Project, led by VinUni’s Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X), was proudly honored at the ESG Business Awards 2025 in two key categories: Collaborative Partnership and Cross-sector Collaboration. This prestigious international award brings together pioneering organizations across the Asia-Pacific region to celebrate outstanding achievements in Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG).
The project exemplifies close collaboration between academia, local government, and the community. Building on this foundation, more than 50 experts from VinUni and renowned universities such as the University of Oxford, Duke University, and the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) partnered with local authorities and residents to develop the Master Plan for Green Transition in Khanh Hoa province and Nha Trang city – now officially approved and implemented by the provincial government.
Beyond planning, the project also:
  • Organized ESG and cross-sector green – digital transition training for over 100 local officials.
  • Developed and delivered three practical solutions for green lifestyles, sustainable tourism, and transportation.
  • Created direct impact on 1.2 million residents and 11,000 businesses.
The success and impact of this model have already expanded to Binh Dinh and Ho Chi Minh City, underscoring VinUni’s pioneering role in advancing green development, realizing Vietnam’s Net Zero commitment, and fostering sustainable cross-sector collaboration.
