Procurement

Guided by our Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action Policy on Procurement and Responsible Investment, VinUniversity treats every purchasing decision as an opportunity to advance sustainability, from prioritizing local suppliers and environmentally friendly products to ensuring that our supply chain reflects the same values of responsibility and accountability that we uphold across all campus operations.

Programs

VinUniversity’s procurement policy prioritizes local suppliers and environmentally friendly products, ensuring that university spending supports sustainable production chains and reduces environmental impact through strategic purchasing decisions. Preference is given to products that are durable, energy-efficient, and recyclable, including eco-friendly office materials such as recycled paper and biodegradable supplies. By embedding sustainability criteria into procurement processes across all departments, VinUni ensures that responsible consumption is practiced not just at the individual level, but institutionally, from the products we stock to the vendors we partner with.

VinUniversity’s commitment to responsible investment extends to its people. All staff and faculty are compensated above the local living wage, and in the academic year 2024–2025, 63% of employees held contracts exceeding 24 months, reflecting VinUni’s dedication to job security and workforce stability. The university also fully recognizes labor rights, including freedom of association and collective bargaining, ensuring that the same standards of fairness and accountability applied to external suppliers are equally upheld within our own institution.
