VinUni’s annual Green Sports Day promotes active lifestyles and holistic wellbeing through a diverse range of sports and outdoor activities including pickleball, frisbee, basketball, Zumba, and chess. Beyond physical fitness, the event deliberately connects sport with environmental consciousness, featuring sustainability-themed booths, green living activities, and community engagement initiatives that reinforce VinUni’s campus culture of responsible living. By bringing together students, faculty, staff, and partners in a shared celebration of health and sustainability, Green Sports Day demonstrates that personal wellbeing and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.
Exam Care
Every year, we support our students during the stressful exam period by distributing care packages. These packages might include snacks, motivational notes, and essential supplies to help you stay focused and energized. It’s our way of showing that we care about your wellbeing and success.
Mental Health Week
We celebrate Mental Health Week annually to emphasize the importance of mental health. This week is filled with various activities, workshops, and talks aimed at raising awareness and providing resources to support your mental wellbeing. It’s a time to reflect, learn, and engage in practices that promote mental health.
Wellbeing Boost Series
Our Wellbeing Boost series consists of mini events and workshops held throughout our academic year. These sessions cover a variety of topics, from mindfulness and stress management to physical fitness and nutrition. Each event is designed to provide practical tips and techniques that you can incorporate into your daily life to enhance your overall wellbeing.
Activities
At Green Sports Day, VinUnians nurtured physical health and enhanced mental well-being. The Wellbeing Booth was a hub of joy, featuring the D.O.S.E. Check-In with colorful handprints, the Hugging Spot for warm embraces, and the Creative Green Corner for planting and self-expression. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined and shared their energy!
“Consent” Booth at VinUniversity Annual Health Check-Up
From February 21-23, 2025, the “Consent” booth at VinUni’s Annual Health Check-Up was a hub of learning and interaction. Located at K101 in the Sports Complex, it provided a space to discuss sexual education and consent. Highlights included expert Q&A sessions, anonymous sharing on a live screen, and distribution of protective items and educational materials. The booth aimed to break misconceptions, reduce stigma around sexual health, and educate on setting boundaries in relationships. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to fostering a respectful and health-conscious community!
“Embracing the Women Cycle” Workshop
On March 5th, Healthy Lifestyle Course by Prof. Lien Trinh hosted the “Embracing the Women Cycle” workshop, led by Ms. Daphne Ngo. Female students engaged in warm, relatable discussions about their bodies, emotions, and natural changes. Thought-provoking questions sparked heartfelt conversations, fostering deep connections. The workshop celebrated women’s beauty and strength, encouraging self-love and awareness.
Mini Events
From November 11th to 15th, we hosted the “Get to Know Your Counsellor” mini event to welcome our new counsellor, Ms. Dzung Ngo (Daphne), to the VinUni family. The event provided a fantastic opportunity for students to meet Ms. Daphne and learn more about the support services available.
We were thrilled to see so many students take advantage of this opportunity to connect with Ms. Daphne. Many students have visited our counselling room, said hi to our counsellor and had some candy treats to kick off their days. For those who have not had a chance to drop by, remember that you can still walk-in during designated hours (10.00 – 12.00 PM Tue & Thu and 3.00 – 5.00 PM Mon, Wed & Fri unless previously booked) or book an appointment through My Services or via email address bewell@vinuni.edu.vn.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this event a success. We look forward to more events that foster a supportive and connected community at VinUni!

VinUniversity provides comprehensive annual health screenings for all full-time faculty, staff, and students, enabling early detection and proactive healthcare management. Employee check-ups are embedded in VinUni’s Total Reward Policies to promote workforce wellbeing, while student health assessments comply with Ministry of Health regulations. In the academic year 2024–2025, 100% of faculty, staff, and students received annual health check-ups, ensuring that community wellness is actively monitored and supported throughout the academic year.

VinUniversity is committed to building a campus where every individual, regardless of gender, background, or ability, feels equally supported and empowered to succeed. The university maintains a 1:1 male-to-female ratio in both enrollment and graduation, with 48% of academic faculty being women and 37% of senior leadership levels being female. VinUni has earned the QS 5-Star for Inclusiveness, recognizing its strong commitment to diversity, equity, and equal access to education. Campus infrastructure reflects this commitment through accessible ramps, Braille signage, accessible restrooms, and dedicated Mother and Child Care rooms for nursing mothers among students, faculty, and staff. The university also provides tailored support for students with disabilities, including reasonable adjustments, mentors or support workers, and accessible housing options.
Key initiatives include:
1. Support Center for Minority Groups (SAM): Established to enhance the experience of students from underrepresented backgrounds, the Support Center for Minority Group @ VinUni – often referred to as SAM – offers tailored support services SAM’s mandate covers ethnic minorities, religious minorities, LGBTQ+ students, and others who might face unique challenges. It provides academic mentoring and personal counseling specific to minority students’ needs, organizes informative workshops (e.g. on embracing cultural identity, navigating bias), and even arranges field trips to overlooked rural areas so that students can engage with and learn from different communities SAM also ensures campus facilities accommodate religious practices (prayer rooms, dietary options) and cultural events. By coordinating with various university departments, SAM helps minority students “successfully navigate their university life” and feel a sense of belonging in the VinUni family.
2. Educational Workshops & Research: VinUni actively educates its community on diversity and inclusion topics. As part of the official Well-being program, Gender and Sexual Health Education workshops are offered for all students (with an emphasis on including LGBTQ+ youth). These workshops feature guest speakers – healthcare providers, educators, social workers – who share knowledge on topics like sexual health, consent, and overcoming discrimination. One of the program advisors is Ms. Lien Trinh, a mental health counselor and faculty member, who lends her expertise to ensure the workshops are informative and sensitive.
3. Research: Additionally, VinUni has partnered with the University of East Anglia (UK) on a groundbreaking research project on LGBTQ+ student experiences in higher education in Vietnam. Titled “Lived Experiences of Gender and Sexual Minorities in Higher Education in Vietnam,” this study (funded by a British Council gender equality grant) is the first of its kind and underscores VinUni’s thought leadership in inclusion research. Insights from the research will inform better support policies at VinUni and beyond.
4. Peer Support and Representation: As noted, the Peer Support Group (PSG) initiated in 2021 includes diverse student “peer supporters”, one of whom openly identifies as LGBTQ+. This deliberate inclusion ensures that LGBTQ+ students seeking peer counseling can speak to someone with shared experiences. More broadly, VinUni’s student demographics are increasingly diverse: the university’s ~800 undergraduates (as of 2024) come from 16 different countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
4. The International Students Association (VISA) organizes cultural exchange events and buddy programs to celebrate this diversity. On the staff side, VinUni hires talent globally – its faculty and leadership represent many nationalities and cultures, fostering an international campus atmosphere. Regular intercultural events (food festivals, global days) and the promotion of English as the lingua franca ensure inclusive engagement for all students and staff.
VinUni’s diversity and inclusion efforts create a campus where differences are celebrated. Students from minority groups have access to dedicated resources and communities, while majority students gain exposure to new perspectives – preparing all to become culturally competent leaders.

VinUniversity’s First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Program, run by the VinUniversity Medical Simulation Center, delivered 153 classes to 5,618 participants in AY2024–2025, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners. By equipping the broader community with life-saving emergency response skills, the program promotes a safer, more resilient campus and contributes to public health preparedness well beyond VinUni’s own gates.
