VinUni Launches the Daesang Food Corner – A Celebration of Student Wellness & Community Care

The grand launch of the Daesang Food Corner took place on November 11, 2025 at the Student Experience Hub (1st Floor, Building I), marking another milestone in VinUni’s journey to enhance student well-being and cross-cultural engagement.
The celebration began with Vice Provost Hong Ha’s inspiring welcome remarks, followed by Dean Evans’ thoughtful sharing on wellness and the importance of healthy eating habits. The event culminated with Mr. Tin, Director of Library & Learning Resources, officially announcing the launch of the Daesang Food Corner – to the cheers of over 50 enthusiastic students in attendance.
This student-led initiative was designed and managed by learners from the OLSM4300 Project Management course, in collaboration with the VinUni Library & Learning Resources, VISA, SAM, and Daesang Corporation, with the kind support of Vice Provost Sunmee Choi and Professor Young Gun Kim
One student reflected: “On behalf of my team, we are very grateful for your support since the very beginning of this project. Today’s successful kick-off exceeded our expectations, with multiple attendees and overwhelmingly positive feedback. None of us imagined the limits we could push ourselves to until this project. Despite challenges, we’ve become more experienced and enlightened – thanks to your guidance and encouragement.”
The Daesang Food Corner provides nourishing, ready-to-enjoy Korean snacks to keep students energized during intensive study periods. Open daily during the pilot week from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., it aims to foster a supportive learning environment that nourishes both body and mind.
This project beautifully reflects VinUni’s values of student empowerment, community service, and meaningful university–industry collaboration. Together, we continue to build a campus where learning, care, and innovation thrive beyond the classroom.
