Beating over 1,200 teams from 124 countries, Team CLICKBAIT, including Nguyen Ngoc Linh, Nguyen Thai Minh, Le Giang Chau, Le Ngoc Trang, and Nguyen Huong Quynh (second-year students from VinUni’s College of Arts & Sciences and College of Business & Management), clinched the global championship at the UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2025. The team has also been fully sponsored by UNESCO to present their award-winning project in Colombia this October.
Under the theme “Youth Leading the Way,” the competition is part of UNESCO’s Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week, which empowers young people to devise practical solutions to today’s most pressing digital challenges: the rise of AI, the spread of mis- and disinformation, online hate speech, platform dominance, and threats to information integrity.
Their winning project creatively blends a board game with an interactive web platform, offering a dynamic, engaging experience. Each player secretly takes on the role of either a “disinformator” or an “investigator,” sharpening their critical thinking and logical reasoning while gaining essential knowledge on online safety – all in the course of the game.
The project reflects VinUni students’ multidimensional thinking, creativity, and innovative spirit, while delivering a strong message about building a positive and healthy digital environment.
