Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X)

Established in 2022 and sponsored by VinUniversity’s Innovation Fund, Smart Green Transformation Center (GREEN-X) aims to deliver research and development projects that focus on innovation and green transformation. These projects are implemented through GREEN-X’s close collaborations with government agencies, leading universities, reputable research organizations, and renowned professors worldwide.

The center’s initiatives focus on three core aspects: The Impactful Research Project, Leadership Development Project, and Community Service Project.

Green Transformation and Green Growth Consultancy

VinUniversity’s flagship consultancy initiative, led by GREEN-X, has partnered with provincial and municipal governments to develop comprehensive Green Transformation and Green Growth strategies across industry, agriculture, tourism, infrastructure, transportation, and lifestyle. Beginning in Nha Trang and Khanh Hoa Province, home to 2.2 million residents, the program trained over 130 government officials across three provinces, delivered an AI-powered Chatbot promoting green living, established Khanh Hoa’s first Green Tourism Standards covering 1,200 accommodations, and created Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks for 15 departments and 65 administrative units. The initiative has directly impacted 1.2 million residents and 11,400 enterprises, and has since expanded to Binh Dinh Province and Ho Chi Minh City.

Recognized with the Vietnam ESG Awards 2024 and the ESG Business Awards 2025 in the Collaborative Partnership and Cross-sector Collaboration categories, this model positions VinUni as Vietnam’s leading university partner for evidence-based, scalable green transformation.
